Subject: Shakespeare and the Psalms
In the excellent comic book, Sandman #75, Shakespeare mentions to a
local clergyman that "they gave me some psalms to beautify". Am I right
in assuming that there are real stories and serious theories that this
was in fact the case; that Shakespeare's hand is in the King James
Bible? And if so, does anyone know who has written about this, and how
the main arguments run? Of course I realize that there is nowhere near
definitive proof.
