The researchers and journalists who dismissed the use of typewriters as
latrines as a failed experiment obviously forgot the first principle of
simian behavior: monkey see, monkey do. Malvolio would instantly have
grasped the authorial intention. After being compared (with the goats)
to a bunch of lascivious Venetians, it's no wonder they've rejected
blank verse.

The point of my message about monkeys was lost, I fear. A picture (a
cover from "The New Yorker") accompanied the news article. If anyone
wants the picture, let me know and I will send it in a personal note to
