ELIZABETHAN PROGRESSES CONFERENCE
An interdisciplinary conference on all aspects of the progresses,
entertainments and pageants of Queen Elizabeth I, to be held at The
Shakespeare Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon, Friday 16 _ Saturday 17 April
2004.
Participants include: Dr Philippa Berry, Professor Bernard Capp, Dr
Elizabeth Clarke, Professor Mary Hill Cole, Professor Patrick Collinson,
Dr Pauline Croft, Dr Neville Davies, Professor Katherine Duncan-Jones,
Dr Paula Henderson, Dr Elizabeth Goldring, Dr Gabriel Heaton, Professor
Lisa Hopkins, Dr Sarah Knight, Dr James Knowles, Dr William Leahy, Dr
Hester Lees-Jeffries, Dr David K. Money, Dr Richard Morris, Dr Birgit
Oehle, Mr Julian Pooley, Dr Sarah Ross, and Dr Matthew Woodcock.
The conference is being organised as part of the John Nichols project at
the AHRB Centre for the Study of Renaissance Elites and Court Cultures,
Centre for the Study of the Renaissance, University of Warwick, and is
generously supported by the Humanities Research Centre, University of
