Under the heading of more than you need to know:

There was an adaptation of Volpone under the title of The Honey Pot in
1967, directed by Joseph Mankiewicz.  It starred Rex Harrison as Cecil
Fox and Cliff Robertson as William McFly, along with a number of ladies
from Fox's past who believed he was dying and wanted to cash in.  These
were played by Susan Hayward, Capucine, Edie Adams, and Maggie Smith.
The screenplay was adapted from Frederick Knott's play "Mr Fox of
Venice."  The cast list has two supporting actors playing Volpone and
Mosca; so maybe there was some harking back to Jonson at some point.
