Since I threw myself into an iconographic study of Romeo and Juliet in
1997, I have found an uneveness in the digitized images of printed
material: some were terrific and some were illegible. I anticipated that
this project would be the same.

Happily this project is a true find. The hardest images to digitize, the
steel engravings, are crisp and beautiful to look at. Thanks, Al, for
this link.
