Subject: Re: Summer Shakespeare at Notre Dame
Last night I took my summer Shakespeare class to see "A Midsummer
Night's Dream" at Notre Dame and I highly recommend it to anyone who can
make the trip. It was one of the finest performances of the play I have
ever seen. My students were leaning forward in their seats, intently
involved in the action. They were laughing out loud and clapping at the
gymnastic antics of Puck, the hilarious confusion of the lovers, the
loveliness of Titania and her fairies, and the booming physical and
vocal comedy of Bottom. It's well worth the drive, the time, and the
cost--bring the kids!
