--In a Babar the Elephant episode that aired Friday August 8, on HBO,
two elephants did the balcony scene from Romeo and J, citing some of the
more famous lines (both were dressed in period costumes). The Romeo
elephant climbs the balcony and is so heavy he breaks it. They later
dress as other famous characters, including George and Martha
Washington.

--On a Hey, Arnold! episode that aired on Saturday August 9, 2003,
Arnold develops a crush on his English teacher. Outside, he reads a
book of poetry with a friend, who doesn't like, and after the friend
leaves, Arnold says "But soft, what light from yonder window reeks? It
is the East, and Mrs. ? is the sun." Arnold's friend overhears the
teacher saying she likes Arnold (a different one, and mistakenly
concludes she too has a crush on Arnold. Things get sorted out, and
all's well that ends well.

--The book Soul Murders: The Effects of Childhood Abuse and Deprivation
by Leonard Shengold makes frequent reference to Shakespeare.
