Subject: Italics in Email
Anna Kamaralli wrote (possibly ironically):

The convention for writing italics in plain-text e-mail is "/" before,
and "/" after. Thus:
/italics/ in e-mail *or* (that's *bold*) /italics in e-mail/ (although
line breaks and punctuation characters can interrupt interpretation)
Now all you need is a mail reader that displays italics! If you are
using Outlook Express, then OE-Quotefix ( http://flash.to/oe-quotefix/ )
is for you!
