Rolland Banker would call that New Yorker cover "Shakespeares in the
Park," saying:

I might accept apostrophe-s: "Shakespeare's in the park."
Or: "Shakespeare plays in the park."
But "Shakespeares in the park"? Who would possibly draw, much less
recognize, Oxford, Bacon, Marlowe, et al. cavorting in Central Park?
