Subject: Put Together a Reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream for the
Summer Solstice

The Instant Shakespeare Company, which does annual readings of all of
Shakespeare's plays, will celebrate the Summer Solstice with worldwide
readings of Shakespeare's most popular comedy "A Midsummer Night's
Dream" on June 21, 2003. In Shakespeare's time the Summer Solstice was
more commonly known as Midsummer (since it is at the mid-point between
the spring and autumn equinoxes) and was viewed as a time when
imagination ran riot. This is an ideal time to show that Shakespeare is
for everyone and his imagination is an inspiration for all of us.

A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare1s most universal and
joyful plays and its connection to the specific date, Midsummer (or the
summer solstice), lends itself to this worldwide event. The Instant
Shakespeare Company (ISC) is dedicated to the proposition that
Shakespeare is for everyone and by facilitating these readings worldwide
we are offering everyone a chance to read or hear the play. This is an
opportunity for individuals and groups to organize the reading as a
fundraiser for an organization or a worthy cause or just get together
with a few friends to read the play.

The ISC which is dedicated to the proposition that Shakespeare is for
everyone, has been doing instant staged readings of Shakespeare's plays
for the last 4 years and will offer support in how to find a space and
provide suggestions for putting on a successful reading. The ISC will
also make available low-cost Folio editions of the work.
