Subject: Getting To Like It
Comment: SHK 14.1101 Getting To Like It
Graham Hall speaks of the melancholy night that Oxford learned of its
failure to become European City of Culture 2008. Most sensible citizens
of Cardiff were immensely relieved to hear that their own city had been
unsuccessful in the same competition. It's increasingly difficult in
Britain these days to escape roaming packs of hysterical zealots anxious
to rub one's nose in art. Visitors beware.
