Subject: Polonius and Reynaldo
Dear SHAKSPEReans
I would greatly appreciate your help on this: Are there any papers,
articles, or books written about the dialogue between Polonius and
Reynaldo in Act II Scene 1 of Hamlet?
In particular, I am interested in any reasons suggested for
Shakespeare's inclusion of this dialogue, which is rather lengthy,
considering that its content does not appear to affect the main action
of the play. I am contemplating writing a paper on it, but am having
serious difficulty finding any citations or references on the topic.
Thank you.
Kenneth Chan
