Nancy, I really appreciate your inquiry, and I share your admiration for
BookTV. As you may perhaps be aware, a program the Guild and the ESU
co-hosted on April 14 with Stanley Wells was telecast twice a couple of
weekends later, and then again two weekends after that. That was our
fourth C-SPAN2 program over a two-year period, and we're hoping to keep
the attractions coming.

I've pitched the MacNeil evening to my principal contact at the network,
Andrew Murray, and I'm hoping that he'll want to have cameras there on
Wednesday night. A member of his staff said he'd expressed interest, but
I've learned that it's often very close to the date of the event before
C-SPAN makes a firm commitment. I'll let you know as soon as I have
anything further to report.

We'd be very happy to have you and Hardy in the audience in any event,
so do let me know if you can join us. Thanks again for getting the word
out so quickly through the SHAKSPER listserv.

All the best,
John
