The actor introducing the final episode of Afternoon Delights (dir.
Warren Evans, 1980; Caballero DVD 1999), starring Serena, says:

"I guess show business must have been in her blood. I first met Mrs.
Smith in a college production of King Lear. We both had small parts,
and, if I do say so myself, we were awful."
