Subject: France
David Bishop is certainly right that France is a minor character. But he
is important to Cordelia, after all. Instead of giving my own views on
this matter, let me ask two general questions:
1. Does Cordelia seem to sacrifice her marriage to save her father?
2. If so, are we to admire that or have, at best, mixed feelings about
it?
Best wishes,
--Ed
