Subject:        Channel 4 Indian King Lear Mini-Series

Brittan's Channel 4 will broadcast a two part mini-series (90 minutes
each) based on King Lear called Second Generation. (I have no info on
broadcast details.)  The film was shot in London and Kolkata.  Stars
Indian in Om Puri and Parminder Nagra (Bend It Like Beckham)  in double
role as wife and then daughter.

A six film series based on The Canterbury Tales, modernized and using a
Desi setting, will follow.
