Is anyone familiar with the Richard Eyre production of Merchant with
Henry Goodman either from the NT or the recorded production? I had
wondered whether Shylock spoke Yiddish, and what it was he sang to Jessica.
The recording is on DVD at UK Amazon at:
1815-5850826 but I am not sure it is available in the US.
