Subject: Shakespeare for Kids
Comment: SHK 14.2458 Shakespeare for Kids
Susan St. John quotes from a child's version of Shakespeare:
"While the language is condensed, the integrity of Shakespeare's
writings is kept intact so students of the Bard can experience the
thrill of the story as well as the beauty of the verse and prose."
At least she manages to keep a straight face in the presence of such
absurdities. Sadly, she adds that she's "also impressed by a book called
"Macbeth for Kids" which is 'part of a series called "Shakespeare Can Be
Fun" '. Of course he can, Susan. 'Titus for Toddlers' is always a
smash hit at our local kindergarten. It's the way he tells them.
