Subject: Launce and Crab
In re Sh 14.2447 from Susan St. John
In 1977 I was a.d. of a production of TGV at the Globe of the Southwest
in West Texas. The director insisted on a mechanical dog small but
active which he controlled from the lighting booth by radio remote. The
dog created a sensation, stopping the show night after night. But the
dog was too clever for Launce, who was badly (and I think unfairly)
upstaged.
Yours for live dogs,
John Velz
