BBC Radio 3, in conjunction with the Open University, have produced
several of Shakespeare's plays for radio and for an Open University
Shakespeare course. Some of the can be purchased from the OU.
To purchase, go to www.open.ac.uk, select 'Buy OU Materials' from the
'Select an OU site' drop down menu, click on the 'Arts and Humanities'
list then 'Literature' then 'Shakespeare: Text and Performance'. I've
just looked, and they offer Antony and Cleopatra (with, as I recall,
Michael Pennington and Lindsay Duncan) and King Lear. The Antony and
Cleopatra I particularly enjoyed.
Also, these CD's come with introductions which give some background to
how they were put together that you may find useful. I think the cost
for each play is around
