Mentors is a very well-written children's sf show. Another episode
involves Cleopatra being brought forward when the lead girl in the show
is auditioning for A&C at school.
Also particularly well done were two literary episodes: one involves
paranormal activity, so the science-based male lead wants to be logical,
and he brings Conan Doyle in to help debunk the ghosts, thinking the
author of Holmes would take a scientific approach, when he actually
falls into the complete paranormal route. The other has a friend being
teased as "gay", so they have Oscar Wilde help him discover how to be
himself and his own wit.
