Subject: Programs with Dana Ivey, Christopher Plummer, Ken Ludwig, and
Other Luminaries
Dear Colleague,
I'm writing with a reminder about several upcoming programs that may be
of interest to you and to others you know. We'll be delighted to extend
Guild-member rates for these activities not only to you but to anyone
else who responds to this message, so please feel free to forward it to
your friends and associates.
One, on Thursday evening May 20 at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in
Washington, will put the spotlight on actress Dana Ivey, who created the
role of Miss Daisy in an Obie-winning off-Broadway production and who is
now in rehearsal as Big Mama in the Kennedy Center's forthcoming "Cat on
a Hot Tin Roof."
A second, on Monday evening May 24 at the National Arts Club in New
York, will give you a chance to talk with actor Christopher Plummer,
who's received a Tony Award nomination for the remarkable King Lear he
just completed at Lincoln Center Theater.
These and other Guild events are being offered in collaboration with the
English-Speaking Union, and you'll find more detail about them,
including information about how to make reservations, at
www.esuwdc.org/calendar.html.
Hoping to see you soon,
John
