Cambridge Edition of the Works of Ben Jonson
One-year Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Cambridge Edition of the Works of Ben Jonson is seeking to appoint a
one-year Research Associate, funded by an award from the Modern
Humanities Research Association and the University of Leeds. The CWBJ is
a major international project which has been running since 1998 and is
scheduled for publication in 2006 in print and electronic formats. The
Research Associate will work at Leeds with Professor Martin Butler, and
assist in the final stages of preparing the edition for publication. The
work will include checking submitted material, reading proofs, and
communicating with Cambridge University Press and members of the
editorial team. The post-holder will also be required to undertake some
undergraduate teaching in the Renaissance or an associated field, to a
maximum of three hours per week. There is a possibility of the post
being part-time (minimum of 75% fte).
Applicants should have a PhD and experience of research in early modern
English literature or a cognate field. The starting date is 2 August
2004 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary is on the Research 1A
scale,
