Subject: Thigh Wound in Bayeux Tapestry
An analogue to thigh wounds in Shakespeare: Harold is struck on the
thigh in the Bayeux tapestry. Scholars disagree as to whether this is
the first or second time Harold is seen in the tapestry. He may be seen
in an earlier panel with an arrow win his eye (the arrow may have been
added by a "restorer.")
