Subject: Henry V in the New DNB

"This story shall the good man teach his sonne:
And Crispine Crispian shall ne're goe by,
From this day to the ending of the World,
But we in it shall be remembred..."

Yesterday (Oct. 25), the feast day of Saints Crispin and Crispinian, was
the 589th anniversary of Agincourt. For the anniversary the new Oxford
DNB put up its bio of Henry V (by Christopher Allmand) at its Today's
Life webpage (http://www.oxforddnb.com/public/lotw/). As the DNB is
new, they started with interesting reads on Britannia (fictional), two
Greats--Constantine and Alfred--Harold II, and whoever was buried at
Sutton Hoo. (Of all these, only Henry V is still available to
non-subscribers, but be quick.) You can get the DNB's choice of great
or interesting lives by free email subscription:

Cheers,
Al Magary
