Comment: Re: SHK 15.1748 Apologies and Hiatus
Dear fellow Shaksper-members,
As a member of the SHAKSPER advisory board for a number of years, I
would like to express my support and appreciation to Hardy for all the
work he does, more than most of us can know or care to know I'm sure, to
protect the List, with almost unflagging care, from the uglier side of
network postings. He walks, daily, a fine and treacherous line between
an open forum and invective, and errs, when he errs, which is seldom, on
the side of inclusion. It's a job I would not care to do, exposed at
once to rhetorical, professional and even legal penalties. If this
time, from lack of time, sheer exhaustion, and disinclination to read
everything offered for posting by Mr. Weinstein, we've been treated to
objectionable material, think what reams of similar stuff from many
sources we have not had to treat with, and allow him the gratitude he
deserves. He has mine.
