Dennis Taylor writes ...
>I can think of no full scale biography of John Shakespeare. Correct me
>if I am wrong. Otherwise, is this not an astonishing lacuna?
I don't know if this is any help but the first four chapters of Michael
Wood's 'In Search of Shakespeare' are pretty much written from John's

Another amazing gap in the biography field is that of John Heminge. When
I began work on his playwright son William, I was truly startled to
discover how little there was out there.
