Lest this become a modern myth, I must dispute the idea that "Waiting
for Godot" is the second most produced play in the world. "Godot" is
very rarely played in this country (USA), and not (to my imperfect
knowledge) often played anywhere in the English-speaking world. How
often it is produced in the French-speaking world (or in translation) I
couldn't guess, but will hazard the opinion that it is likewise very rare.

It is a wonderful play but poorly understood -- and for good reason.

Since the production rights are still in force, a check with the rights
agent (Samuel French?) could give some authoritative data.

Cheers,
don
