Subject: Shakespeare Institute in Stratford
Dear Shakespeareans,
What do you all know about the Shakespeare Institute? I have looked at
their website, but I am wondering if any of you are involved there and
if you can give me some specific information about the Institute.
Basically, what I'd like to know is if it would be possible for a PhD
student (like me, for instance) from a different school to take classes
there for a semester, or a summer, or a year -- whatever. At this point,
I am done with my course work and am preparing for my comprehensive
exams, but I would very much like to do more in-depth study of
Shakespeare, especially in Stratford, before and/or while I'm writing my
dissertation. I did write to the Institute's general email address, but
as of yet have not heard back from them. I figured that there might be
someone on here that would be able to give me the kind of information
I'm look for. If you'd like to reply off list, please feel free to email
me at
