Subject: Romeo and Juliet Original Pronunciation

I was wondering if anybody in the group went last night to see (or
rather hear) the original pronunciation production of "Romeo and Juliet"
at the (London) Globe?

I have to confess and say that I am no expert on this sort of subject
but I found it a fascinating experience. I have seen this production
five maybe six times so have a good base line to compare last nights
production to: I found the accents rather curious-to me they sounded
west country (I have spent five years in Somerset so I am quite familiar
with this accent), an American friend thought that Romeo sounded like he
came from "Brooklyn" so I guess accent is in the ear of the beholder..!

The Previous issue of "Around the Globe" which is the magazine produced
by the Globe has more details. I have tried to check to see if it can be
ordered on-line but the site seems to be down..

Ian
