Subject: Query: Kenneth Burke on _Measure for Measure_?
Dear SHAKSPEReans,
I am working on a scholarly edition of Kenneth Burke's essays on
Shakespeare for Parlor Press, and was recently pleased to discover a
very promising footnote from William Rueckert's _Kenneth Burke and the
Drama of Human Relations_ (1982), p. 266fn6, where Rueckert alludes to
an essay published by Burke on _Measure for Measure_.
I am not familiar with this piece, nor have I had any luck locating it
thus far; any leads would be most welcome.
The planned volume currently includes the essays listed below, with
perhaps the addition of a recently discovered ms. on _Macbeth_. If you
recall any additional passages wherein Burke discusses Shakespeare, I
would welcome those references as well (off-list:

as I am building an index of such passages.
With thanks,
