I don't think so. As far as I know, Brenton has 2 that are
"Shakespearean"-- KIT, about Marlowe, and THIRTEENTH NIGHT, which
appears to have Shakespeare characters as precursors of modern
politicians....
Could you be thinking of Bond's "Bingo"?
