Subject: What are 'delicate wits?'
I have come across the phrases "delicate wits" and "delicate wit," but
have trouble ascertaining their meaning. Sometimes I read a nuance of
compliment, but other times sarcasm. Both may be good readings on my
part - or plain wrong. I would appreciate any input or correction in
this matter.
