Subject: Special Request from Your Editor
Dear SHAKSPEReans,
I went to the orthopedic surgeon yesterday only to discover that the
sprain I sustained when I fell and broke my tibia and fibula almost six
weeks ago was actually a broken hand-wrist. Now, I have a cast on both
my right arm and leg and can only type with my left hand, a
frustratingly slow process. The prognosis for my arm is poor and I will
most likely require another surgery and bone graft in addition to
another slow recovery. I need an appointment, when one is available,
with a physical therapist (apparently many folks broke bones in the
Washington, D.C., area at the same time I did) to learn how to get
around without the use of my right hand with crutches or a walker. Am I
going to be a sight at Melissa's wedding.
Out of respect for the increased time and difficulty that I will now
have with editing the digests, I request that members pay attention to
the recommendations on the SHAKSPER Netiquette page --
http://www.shaksper.net/netiquette.html -- regarding self-moderation,
self-government, and pre-formatting submissions.
Anything that members can do to reduce the list traffic and to reduce
my work in preparing the digests will be greatly appreciated.
