Definitely, but sadly not only in renaissance terms.  After Mrs Thatcher
closed the country's mental wards in the 1980s, leaving thousands of
schizophrenics to fend for themselves on the streets, the sight of
lamp-post hugging Edgars has been all too frequent a sight.
