Al Magary writes;
"I believe the privatization of the common literary heritage of humanity
borders on evil, and universities-public universities especially, but
even private institutions-neglect their moral duty to promote universal
learning by agreeing to restrictive licenses."
Amen, and especially so these days when your identity is best kept as
private as possible. I wouldn't call the universities evil, but after
they're paid up on entering the information (likely a grant anyway),
they are stingy to ask for more.
