I am not aware of anyone suggesting that Westminster Hall was ever used
for the production of plays. In any case, the residential apartments of
the Palace of Westminster were destroyed by fire in 1512 and it ceased
to be a royal residence. Hence, of course, Henry VIII's eagerness to
take over Wolsey's Whitehall Palace.
