Most of the papers in this volume by Shakespeareans from Germany, Great
Britain, the Netherlands and the United States were given at the
University of Bamberg in the Academic Year 2004-2005.
This volume is dedicated to two eminent Shakespeareans, Werner Habicht
and Stanley Wells, on the occasion of their seventy-fifth birthdays with
gratitude and best wishes. Both have done much for the advancement of
Shakespeare Studies all over the globe during the last fifty years.
