Subject: 	Italian Translations of Shakespeare

Greetings to everyone from a new member.

My first query to the list is - I would like some information about the 
history of translating Shakespeare into Italian - does anyone know when 
the first Italian translations appeared, who they were by.

A supplementary question - how well-known/popular was Shakespeare in 
Italy in the 19th. Century?
