Subject:        Launch of New Shakespeare Journal

The Editors of Borrowers and Lenders: The Journal of Shakespeare and
Appropriation (ISSN 1554-6985) are delighted to announce that issue 1.1,
"Shakespeare in the American South," is now freely available at
http://www.borrowers.uga.edu. Issue 1.1 includes an essay cluster on
"Shakespeare and the Duke," with essays by Fran Teague, Stephen Buhler,
Douglas Lanier, and an introduction by Terence Hawkes, and essay
clusters on "Performing Race/Gender in the Old and New South," "Class
and Country in the Contemporary Southeast," and "Shakespeare Festivals
in the American South

B&L is an online, refereed, academic journal engaging with
appropriations of Shakespeare. We are still actively soliciting essays,
notes, book reviews and performance reviews for future issues.
Guidelines for contributors are available on the journal's home page.
