The introduction to the Revels Plays edition of The Jew of Malta is
valuable on this matter, providing an illustration of an anti-semitic
woodcut showing a Jew poisoning a well and crucifying a (Christian) child.
Consider also:
Sartre, Jean-Paul. Anti-Semite and Jew. 1946.
R. Pochia Hsia. The Myth of Ritual Murder: Jews and Magic in Reformation
Germany. 1990.
