Subject: Shakespeare Sitcom Question
Dear Colleagues,
I'm passing this note along from Richard Paul, who is working closely
with us on a radio documentary:
I am a producer working with the Folger Shakespeare Library on three
hours of public radio documentaries about Shakespeare in America.
One section will look at Shakespeare in American education and for this
section, we are looking for opportunities to "illustrate" points in the
way one does in a radio documentary.
To that end, does anyone on the list know any instances on sitcoms where
students were shown to be studying Shakespeare? I'm asking about sitcoms
from any era. Does anyone on the list remember ever seeing an episode of
any sitcom when students were shown studying Shakespeare in class?
Thanks for whatever you can tell me.
