Subject: T. W. Baldwin, William Shakespere's Small Latine & Lesse Greeke
Today I stumbled upon the excellent, free-access, fully searchable and
quotable edition of Baldwin's unsurpassed _William Shakespere's Small
Latine & Lesse Greeke_ at http://durer.press.uiuc.edu/baldwin/index.html
(University of Illinois Press). I don't remember this has been announced
on Shaksper so I'm sharing this welcome news with all those whose
academic libraries are not in possession of these two volumes or whose
starved wallets find the second-hand price (around $200) too
prohibitive. Or both (as here).
May I also use this opportunity to urge other university presses to
follow this excellent example? I am sure members of this discussion
group -- academic and non-academic alike -- would gladly supply lists of
sine-qua-nonical Shakespearean titles which ought to be made accessible
to the Globe in no time.
Best to all,
Ivan Lupic, dependent scholar
