Subject: CFP: Women Writers and Stationers in Early Modern London
Special Session at the Midwest Modern Language Association in Chicago,
9-12 November 2006
Shakespeare's Sisters: Women Writers and Stationers in Early Modern England.

to Aphra Behn, and the conventions within which they wrote including
closet drama, poetry, and pamphlets. We are also interested in papers
that examine the roles women played in printing--and the innovative ways
they discovered to compete successfully in a male-dominated business.
Abstracts should be sent to Dr. Terri Bourus at
