Subject: British Early Modern job listing: JMU

British Early Modern/Renaissance, tenure-track, beginning fall 2007. We
seek applicants whose primary specialty is 16th-or 17th- century British
literature to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. The research
area is open. The ability to teach a course in late medieval literature
will work in the candidate's favor, as will an ability to teach history
of the English language. The English faculty does not teach freshman
composition. All candidates must have the Ph.D. in hand by summer of
2007. We will begin reviewing applications on November 6. In addition to
applying online at joblink.jmu.edu applicants should send a letter of
application, vita, writing sample, relevant teaching evaluations, and
three letters of recommendation to:

Early Modern/Renaissance Search Committee
English Dept. MSC 1801
James Madison University
Harrisonburg, VA 22807

James Madison University is an affirmative action, equal opportunity
employer.
