Subject: Looking for Portrait of Antonio
For my new Chinese translation of The Merchant of Venice, I'm
considering using some portraits by 19th century artists. In the library
of Shakespeare Centre, I found reprints of Chas A. Buchel's fine
portraits of all the major characters except Antonio, the title role.
Would deeply appreciate any help in locating it--or photographs by
Louise Jopling or Ellis A. Walery. Many thanks!
Sincerely,
Ching-Hsi Perng
