Subject: Fodor's Hamlet (Film)
I've just gotten my hands on a copy of a new Hamlet film adaptation,
directed by Alexander Fodor in the UK. The cover purports it to be
"set in a nightmarish, kafkaesque no man's land," and states "all the
text kept and all the characters' personalities changed." All very
intriguing, to be sure.
I've posted the trailer to the Poor Yorick blog at
www.bardcentral.com/blog and will be screening the full film at my table
at SAA in San Diego next week. I invite anyone interested in learning
more about the film to drop by and take a look.
And since this will invariably remind someone of the Derry Hamlet
project, I haven't heard anything from the boys lately, so it doesn't
look like we'll have a DVD anytime soon.
Cheers,
Tanya Gough
