Subject: Hamlet Query
I recall once reading a passage praising Hamlet's report to Horatio of
his voyage to England, battle with the pirates, and return to Denmark in
4.6. as an exemplary piece of narrative writing, unmatched in English
for its concision in reporting a great deal in a very few words, none
of them wasted. Can anyone help me to find the source of that comment,
now probably several decades old? Best to send any responses directly to me.
