Subject: Question on Performance of Hamlet
I'd read a few years ago about a 19th century actor who appeared quite
mentally unstable but still played Hamlet in the theater. It was the
only role he would play and apparently did a credible performance
because he continued to get booked and play the part for years.
I wanted to find out more information on him, but now I am unable to
find my source on him.
Does anyone know the name of this actor?
Thanks,
Mark Alcamo
