Subject: 	Tudor/Stuart History Texts?

A relatively short (440 pages) and very readable survey is *Early Modern 
England 1485-1714* by Robert Bucholz and Newton Key, Blackwell, 2004. It 
has an excellent bibliography categorized for each period by the topics 
Biography, Political and Governmental, Religious and Intellectual, and 
Social and Cultural.

Late entry: names like Wedgwood, Hibbert, Kenyon, the Strakas, Wilcher, 
Hill, Lacey, and Sharpe spring to mind. A better idea of what you're 
looking for (or at) would help.
